IN THIS LESSON
Retirement laws Meeting 10-15-26
The Retirement Laws Committee has oversight of the SDRS legislatively and Senate/House Retirement Laws committees oversee and pass laws pertaining to SDRS.
Renae registers to speak at the Retirement Laws meeting on Oct 10 and sent the documents below.
This meeting is solely to discuss giving Travis Almond, SDRS Executive Director/SDIC Board member who participated in sending Renae an NDA to cover up the Whistleblower firing, a 9.6% raise. So apparently, this is the type of behavior the SD Government wants to reward.
Travis is also deleting SDRS Board documents off of the SD Boards & Commission website. Evidence of that in the documents below.
The Retirement Laws Committee is also not making the documents Renae uploaded public from Feb 5, 2026. So hiding public documents is also something Retirement Laws Committee participates in.
If you would like to email the committee members to encourage them to not reward Government Officers for retaliatory firing whistleblowers and then sending them NDAs to cover it up, please email them. You can use the template below or write your own.

Subject: Travis Almond Raise
I am concerned about the SDRS/SDIC Whistleblower allegations with the evidence I have seen that Travis Almond, SDRS Executive Director/SDIC Board member sent Renae Randall an NDA to cover up her retaliatory whistleblower termination from the SD Investment Council. I encourage you to vote no on giving him a raise and would prefer you investigate what happened in this incident instead.
Sincerely,
[Name Name]
Matt Clark & Travis Almond warning of future pension cuts.
House Retirement Laws Committee does not make Renae’s very concerning document submitted public. Renae makes them publicly available in the “Hearing Documents” button on the bottom of the 1st Retirement Laws Hearing lesson.
