Department of Legislative Audit audits most SD agencies for the Annual Comprehensive Financial Report for the State of South Dakota.
Renae reports the incident to Dept. of Legislative Audit June 23 to make sure it is dealt with in the FY25 audit as Fiscal Year end is June 30.
Russ Olson confirms they received the report and they will let the AG lead on what to do next.
Issued clean audit for FY25 in September with no further communications.
At least they say several times in the FY 25 report that they don’t look for Internal Control issues. And apparently, even if a whistleblower reports to them directly, they still aren’t going to look.
