House Retirement laws Hearing 2-5-25

The Legislative Research Council (LRC) Executive Board has oversight of the SDIC legislatively and Senate/House Retirement Laws committees oversee and pass laws pertaining to SDRS.

  • Renae registers to speak at the House hearing on Jan 27 and sent the documents below. Since the registration site doesn’t give a confirmation and because she feared the hacker may have intercepted, she registered again the morning of to make sure (this is just the way one has to live when under constant cyberattack, in fact the reason she misses the Senate hearing is because she still didn’t have the computer fully recovered from the cyberattack yet).

  • Before the hearing started, there was some confusion if this was the proper avenue to report a whistleblower issue. Renae stated that she has been unable to report the issue so far and assured the Committee that it would be on topic of SB50 with a possible 2025 IRS violation on the SDIC IRS Form 990, Part VI, Question 13, “Did the organization have a written whistleblower policy?” because she is looking for Federal Whistleblower protections.

  • And for the first time in this saga, someone working for the State of South Dakota allowed Renae to speak about this concerning issue.

  • Renae makes her case for the possible IRS violation (refer to video) and is assured it will be looked into.

  • Renae has not heard from anyone for two months now.

  • This is to be continued from here.

  • Renae was warned when she uploaded the Hearing documents that it would be public information, but she can not find it anywhere.
