IN THIS LESSON
Mallori Barnett, Attorney for Civil Service Commission
First contact Mallori Barnett on June 11, 2025 but receive no reply.
Contact Dept. of Labor and Regulation on June 18. After a bit of back and forth, they confirm to contact Civil Service Commission.
Second contact to Mallori Barnett on June 20, but she is out of office that day.
June 27, Mallori replies without legal citation that Renae is not a civil service employee and refuses to take report.
GPNA Law firm case analysis on Nov 14, confirmed with opposing council (Wood Fuller Law firm, Melanie Carpenter, representing SDIC and Matt Clark) that Renae is not a civil service employee, but GPNA doesn’t seem to look it up to verify. Although on Oct 16th, GPNA was looking into a due process violation because they couldn’t legally figure out how Renae wasn’t a civil service employee, but apparently never followed though on that research.
Darin Seeley, BHRA Commissioner and SDRS Board member, is the Agency head of the Civil Service Commission.
