IN THIS LESSON

Mallori Barnett, Attorney for Civil Service Commission

  • First contact Mallori Barnett on June 11, 2025 but receive no reply.

  • Contact Dept. of Labor and Regulation on June 18. After a bit of back and forth, they confirm to contact Civil Service Commission.

  • Second contact to Mallori Barnett on June 20, but she is out of office that day.

  • June 27, Mallori replies without legal citation that Renae is not a civil service employee and refuses to take report.

  • GPNA Law firm case analysis on Nov 14, confirmed with opposing council (Wood Fuller Law firm, Melanie Carpenter, representing SDIC and Matt Clark) that Renae is not a civil service employee, but GPNA doesn’t seem to look it up to verify. Although on Oct 16th, GPNA was looking into a due process violation because they couldn’t legally figure out how Renae wasn’t a civil service employee, but apparently never followed though on that research.

  • Darin Seeley, BHRA Commissioner and SDRS Board member, is the Agency head of the Civil Service Commission.
